Day 1: Arrival in Moshi
- Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
- Transfer to a hotel in Moshi for orientation and gear check.
- Overnight stay in Moshi.
Day 2: Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp
- Drive to Londorossi Gate, complete registration, and meet your guides and porters.
- Start your trek through the lush rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp.
- Overnight camping.
Day 3: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp
- Hike through the rainforest, transitioning into the heath and moorland zone.
- Arrive at Shira 1 Camp for overnight camping.
Day 4: Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp
- Continue trekking across the picturesque Shira Plateau, enjoying expansive views.
- Settle in for the night at Shira 2 Camp.
Day 5: Shira 2 Camp to Lava Tower to Moir Hut
- Ascend to Lava Tower for acclimatization before continuing to Moir Hut, located in a high alpine desert.
- Overnight camping.
Day 6: Moir Hut to Buffalo Camp
- Trek through a remote section of the mountain, arriving at Buffalo Camp with stunning vistas.
- Overnight camping.
Day 8: Summit Day – School Hut to Uhuru Peak and Descent to Mweka Camp
- Begin your summit push at midnight, reaching Uhuru Peak at sunrise.
- Descend back to School Hut and then continue down to Mweka Camp.
- Celebrate your successful ascent with an overnight stay at Mweka Camp.
Day 9: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate and Return to Moshi
- Complete your descent to Mweka Gate, where you’ll receive your summit certificates.
- Transfer back to your hotel in Moshi for a well-deserved rest and celebration. Overnight stay in Moshi.
Pricing Information
The estimated cost is $2,950 per person for private groups starting from five participants. Larger groups may enjoy reduced rates.
