Day 1: Arrival in Moshi
- Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
- Transfer to a hotel in Moshi for orientation and gear check.
- Overnight stay in Moshi.
Day 2: Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp
- Drive to Lemosho Gate, complete park formalities, and meet your guides and porters.
- Begin your trek through the enchanting rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp.
- Overnight camping.
Day 3: Mikumi National Park – Full-Day Safari
- Continue hiking through the rainforest, eventually reaching the heath and moorland zone.
- Arrive at Shira 1 Camp for overnight camping.
Day 4: Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp
- Trek across the scenic Shira Plateau, taking in stunning panoramic views.
- Settle in for the night at Shira 2 Camp.
Day 5: Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp
- Descend into Barranco Valley, passing the iconic Lava Tower.
- Enjoy an overnight stay at Barranco Camp.
Day 6: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
- Conquer the challenging Barranco Wall with exhilarating views of the southern ice fields.
- Overnight camping at Karanga Camp.
Day 7: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
- Ascend to Barafu Camp, the final stop before your summit attempt.
- Prepare for the summit with rest and hydration. Overnight camping.
Day 8: Summit Day – Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak and Descent to Mweka Camp
- Begin your summit attempt at midnight, reaching Uhuru Peak at sunrise.
- Descend back to Barafu Camp, then continue down to Mweka Camp.
- Celebrate your achievement with an overnight stay at Mweka Camp.
Day 9: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate and Return to Moshi
- Complete your descent to Mweka Gate, receiving your summit certificates.
- Transfer back to your hotel in Moshi for a well-deserved rest and celebration. Overnight stay in Moshi.
Pricing Information
The cost is approximately $2,550 per person for private groups of five or more. Larger groups may benefit from reduced rates.
